FERCAM participated in the ROM-E fair

The ROM-E festival, organized in the heart of the Capital and now in its second edition, is a perfect meeting place between companies and the public to talk about eco-sustainability and the future, with a view to ecological transition. FERCAM and FERCAM Echo Labs attended with a double stand in Villa Borghese, where interactive laboratories dedicated to adults and children were organized, together with a round table, where local realities, united by the same sensitivity towards green issues, exchanged their views and experiences.

A dialogue between people who care about sustainability

On Saturday morning, FERCAM's stand hosted a panel moderated by Cristiana Rogate from Refe - Strategies for sustainable development. We talked about alliances between business and research to support environment-friendly innovations, together with Giuseppe Napoli (CNR-ITAE Researcher) and Prof. Alessandra Cozzolino (Sapienza University). Subsequently, we wanted to give space to the different realities that are collaborating in the Urban Re-Tree project, with an exchange that highlighted in particular the role that schools can and must play in education to ecology and the circular economy.

Biodiversity and upcycling: workshops for creatives of all ages

With the partners of Echo Labs, Linaria and Laboratorio Linfa, children, families and students had the opportunity to experience firsthand with the upcycling of wood and other materials. The different workshops organized included eco-carpentry projects, the construction of bugs hotels and bird feeders, seed bombs to make the city bloom and bookmarks made with the solar herbarium technique. «Change passes above all through examples, beyond theories. For this reason, we carry out projects dedicated to sustainability, such as Urban Re-Tree, in schools.» says Maria Grazia Lancellotti, Rete Nazionale Scuole Green.
